However, at this point, the studio has remained tight-lipped about who will be the film’s primary antagonist.
Daniel Dae Kim says he’s ready to play Mister Negative in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
In a conversation with ScreenRant, Daniel Dae Kim was questioned about the possibility of him being fan-cast as Mister Negative in Spider-Man 4.
In a recent interview while promoting his upcoming series Butterfly, Kim shared his feelings about being considered for the role. He said, “For around half a year now, I’ve been aware of some murmurs about this, and I’ve noticed it. I’ve noticed that people want other Asian actors to play this character too, so I’m pleased to be part of that discussion, but I haven’t received any concrete information yet.
He also mentioned that the fan art depicting him as the potential Spider-Man: Brand New Day antagonist are quite intriguing. Moreover, Kim stated, “I’m always open to taking on captivating roles and engaging projects.
It’s been speculated that Mister Negative, whose real name is Martin Li, might be featured in Spider-Man 4 based on recent set video releases. At this moment, the filming for the movie is taking place in Glasgow. Previously, SuperHeroHype reported various set images and clips showcasing military tanks adorned with a red devil emblem. This symbol represents the Inner Demons gang, which Martin Li leads.
Fans are speculating that a confrontation between Mister Negative and Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man could soon occur in the film, although neither Marvel nor Sony Pictures have officially confirmed it. Mister Negative first emerged in comic books back in 2007 and later became the central antagonist in a popular Spider-Man video game.
