As a big fan of Daredevil, I’m really excited about Season 2 of Born Again. It’s kicking off some seriously intense and dramatic storylines for Matt Murdock, and it’s coming so soon after the first season! But I’m a little worried about the way they’re releasing the episodes – the schedule feels a bit off, and I’m hoping it doesn’t end up hurting the overall story we’re going to get.
Following the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on March 24th, Disney+ will release two episodes on Tuesday, March 31st. This is a unique event for the season; the remaining six episodes will be released individually each week, concluding on May 5th.
To give you an idea of how this season is being released, the first season also had a couple of weeks where two episodes dropped on Disney+ at the same time. This season started with a two-episode premiere, and week four also included two new episodes – numbers five and six.
I’m so excited for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2! It starts right where Season 1 left off and is the second big Marvel show to come out as part of Phase 6. Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil, and we’ll see Vincent D’Onofrio return as the Kingpin. This time around, Matt Murdock is gathering a team to take on Wilson Fisk, who’s basically taken control of New York with martial law. Deborah Ann Woll, Margarita Levieva, Krysten Ritter and others are joining the fight, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
Why Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Double Release May Hurt

Warning – The rest of this article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Episode 1.
Episode 5 of Season 1, which focused on Kamala Khan’s father, Yusuf, was released alongside another episode during the show’s fourth week. This episode felt separate from the main New York City storyline, focusing instead on a smaller, more personal story for Matt. Unfortunately, it was also one of the lowest-rated episodes, as viewers felt it clearly came from the original plans for the Born Again series before the show was reworked.
It seems Marvel likely held back this episode in Season 1 because they weren’t confident in it as a standalone story. Now, with Season 2, people are questioning if Marvel has the same concerns about the second episode, which is being released alongside the third.
Near the end of Season 2, Episode 1, Matt and Detective Cherry were unexpectedly rescued by Bullseye, played by Wilson Bethel, who eliminated a group of agents from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force that was attempting to capture them. With the new episode titled “Shoot the Moon,” Bullseye might reappear, though he could remain hidden for now.
With Fisk firmly in control and actively dealing weapons, we likely won’t see major developments for him or Daredevil this week. However, the extra episode released this week should provide enough excitement to hold fans over until the regular weekly episodes return.
