Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Update Reveals When Show Takes Place in MCU Timeline

It has been officially revealed where Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 fits into the MCU timeline.

The second season of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney+. Led by showrunner Dario Scardapane, the series picks up where the original Netflix Daredevil series left off, with Charlie Cox returning as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

When does Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 take place in the MCU timeline?

Marvel Studios recently revised its official timeline, and it now shows that Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is the second-newest project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Currently, the Wonder Man series is the only Marvel Cinematic Universe project set after the new Daredevil season. Because Wonder Man didn’t feature many cameos or connections to other MCU stories, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Simon Williams and Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Williams haven’t crossed paths or become friends by the time the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 unfold.

Everything that’s happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until now takes place before the start of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Interestingly, the events of the Thunderbolts* movie have already occurred – a significant part of New York City was temporarily consumed by a mysterious energy field called The Void. It’s unclear if the show will directly address this large-scale event, or how it might impact the story.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again finds Mayor Wilson Fisk tightening his grip on New York City while relentlessly pursuing Daredevil, the vigilante of Hell’s Kitchen. Despite Fisk’s power, Matt Murdock will fight back from the darkness, determined to dismantle the Kingpin’s criminal empire and restore his city. The season focuses on themes of resistance, rebellion, and rebuilding.

Episodes 2 and 3 of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 arrive on March 31, 2026.
