
Tom Hanks is teaming up again with the director of a previous Oscar-nominated movie for a new film. Several studios are competing to distribute it, showing strong interest in the project within Hollywood.
According to reports, Tom Hanks is reuniting with director Marielle Heller, who previously worked with him on A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, for a new film called The Comebacker. This heartwarming dramedy centers around baseball and will star Hanks in the main role, with Heller at the helm. Both Hanks and Heller are also producing the movie, which is based on a short story by Dave Eggers. Eggers’ previous works, A Hologram for the King and The Circle, have also been adapted into films starring Hanks.
