A new take on is officially headed to the big screen with a major player as its star.
Universal Pictures is rebooting the classic TV show “Murder, She Wrote,” with a new actress taking on the role of Jessica Fletcher. The original series, which aired for 12 seasons between 1984 and 1996, featured as a clever mystery writer who solved crimes in the small town of Cabot Cove, Maine, and this new film will reimagine that concept.
Details about the story of the new Murder, She Wrote series are still secret, but it’s scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2027 – a very busy movie weekend. Even though the premiere is still a ways off, the reboot is already expected to compete with other big films like The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum and Avengers: Secret Wars.
