I’m really excited because the next season of George R.R. Martin’s Dark Winds is coming soon! I’ve already watched the first three seasons on Netflix, and I just learned that Season 4 will be available on July 4th. I can’t wait!
According to research by What’s on Netflix, new seasons of shows licensed by Netflix usually become available exactly one year before the license runs out. Since Dark Winds is expected to leave Netflix on July 4, 2027, the fourth season should premiere on July 4, 2026.
What Is Dark Winds About?
Dark Winds is a television series based on the popular Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee novels by Tony Hillerman. The show follows Navajo Tribal Police officers as they investigate crimes in the Southwest.
George R.R. Martin and the late Robert Redford are executive producers of the television series Dark Winds, created by Graham Roland. The show stars Zahn McClarnon as Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, with Kiowa Gordon playing Jim Chee and Jessica Matten as Bernadette Manuelito.
The fourth season of Dark Winds premiered on AMC in February. This season follows Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito as they search for a missing Navajo girl, a case that takes them from their homeland into 1970s Los Angeles.
