Hulu Just Released Its 9th Marvel TV Show

You can now watch Wonder Man on Hulu! Marvel Studios announced the show’s arrival on its social media pages, adding it to the growing list of Marvel series available on the platform. All eight episodes are currently available for US Hulu subscribers – a Disney+ subscription isn’t needed.

The series debuted on Disney+ in late January 2026, with all eight episodes released simultaneously. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams, an actor in Hollywood who learns that the famous director Von Kovak is revisiting a classic superhero movie, Wonder Man.

Simon is determined to land the leading role, and gets unexpected help from Trevor Slattery, the actor who famously played a fake villain in both Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He ultimately succeeds in getting the part, but the show takes a surprising turn when he’s tasked with rescuing Trevor from a high-security prison in the final episode.

Now that Wonder Man is available on Hulu, the streaming service has added another Marvel series to its collection. Surprisingly, Marvel content has been on Hulu for quite a while – even before the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, with shows from the earlier Marvel Television days, and it continues to be a part of the platform today.

Other Marvel Shows That Have Been on Hulu

Runaways

Marvel’s Runaways was a groundbreaking series, originally made for Hulu. Over three seasons, the show told the story of six teens who discovered their parents were secretly villains belonging to a group called PRIDE. This forced them to flee and ultimately face their parents. It was an early effort to bring superhero stories to viewers who preferred streaming. Though it was removed from Hulu, you can now watch all three seasons for free on The CW’s streaming service.

Legion

Legion, a visually stunning superhero series, originally aired on FX and was produced by Fox Television Studios with a license from Marvel. All three seasons are now streaming on Hulu. The show centers on David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier, a powerful mutant struggling to maintain his grasp on reality. Created by Noah Hawley, known for Fargo, it redefined what a comic book adaptation could be on TV.

The Gifted

Originally airing on Fox for two seasons and later moving to Hulu, The Gifted is a series set within the world of the X-Men. It follows families with mutant children who are forced to hide from the government and struggle to survive. The show was made as part of Fox’s agreement with Marvel and exists in its own separate timeline, distinct from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Helstrom

The series Helstrom debuted on Hulu in October 2020, marking the final live-action show created by Marvel Television before it merged with Marvel Studios. Starring Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon as brother and sister demon hunters based on Marvel Comics characters Daimon and Satana Hellstrom, the show was intended to exist separately from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it had some visually striking scenes, Helstrom received a mixed reception and was canceled after just one season in December 2020.

MODOK

MODOK is a hilarious, stop-motion animated comedy series made just for Hulu. Created with and starring Patton Oswalt, the show centers on the Marvel villain of the same name as he struggles with a failing evil organization, a midlife crisis, and a rocky marriage. Though it only lasted one season, MODOK gained a dedicated fanbase thanks to its unique humor and unexpectedly touching storylines.

Hit-Monkey

Hit-Monkey is a hilarious, animated comedy series that first appeared on Hulu in 2021. It’s become Hulu’s longest-running Marvel original, telling the story of a Japanese macaque monkey who learns the art of assassination from the ghost of a professional killer. The show has gained a dedicated fanbase over its multiple seasons.

Secret Invasion

The Disney+ series Secret Invasion, part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was also briefly available on Hulu in the summer of 2023. Before the season ended on Disney+, the first three episodes streamed on Hulu for a few weeks, from July 21st to August 17th. This was the first time a Disney+ MCU show had been offered on Hulu at the same time. The six-part series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and follows his investigation into a secret Skrull invasion of Earth.

Echo

As a critic, I have to say that Echo was a really interesting move for Marvel. It broke ground by being the first MCU series to drop on both Disney+ and Hulu at the same time – January 10th, 2024, to be exact. The show really put Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez front and center, diving deep into her Native American background and her tangled history with Kingpin. But beyond the story itself, this dual release felt like a big signal that Disney wasn’t going to keep all Marvel content locked to Disney+ anymore – a real shift in their streaming strategy.
