Studio Ghibli Brings Gardening Dreams Into Full Bloom With New Totoro and Kiki Planters for Spring 2026

Soon, fans can bring the charm of spring into their homes with new flower planters inspired by the beloved films My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. Pre-orders are now available on the studio’s official online store.

I noticed that Donguri Sora just added some new items to their Mother’s Day collection! They’re offering bundles with either “Magical Tutu” or “Strawberry Fresh” carnations – these are special varieties you can only get from the Ghibli shop. It looks like each product launched with one of these flower bundles.

These beautiful flower arrangements are a perfect gift for Studio Ghibli fans to give their mothers this spring. You can pre-order them while supplies last until April 28, 2026 (JST). Check out the official photos below.

Studio Ghibli’s New Totoro & Kiki Flower Planters Bring Anime Magic to the Home This Spring

First appearing in 1989, the story follows a teenage witch who leaves home for a year of training. She moves to a new city where people don’t know about witches and decides to use her flying ability to start a delivery service. As she works, she discovers that becoming truly independent isn’t easy, even when you have magic.

These charming diorama boxes recreate scenes familiar to fans of Studio Ghibli films. For example, the “Kokiri’s Magic” design shows Jiji, Kiki’s black cat, sitting on a book. The name comes from Kiki’s mother, who runs a potion shop in Kiki’s village. The planter is designed to look like a herb container from Kokiri’s shop. Each purchase includes a thank-you card with artwork of Kokiri and Kiki.

In contrast to Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro (1988) is a whimsical tale about two sisters who discover a hidden world filled with wondrous nature spirits. Over the course of the film, 10-year-old Satsuki and four-year-old Mei befriend , the timid, attic-dwelling “soot sprites” and the gigantic Cheshire cat-like “Catbus.”

The Totoro planter shows Mei cheerfully drawing on a wall, making pictures of the forest spirits with leaves and colorful stones. The little and medium Totoros are watching with curiosity. Big Totoro is also included, examining a tiny acorn. The planter is about 5.6 inches (143 mm) tall, a little taller but similar in width to the Kiki planter. It comes with a postcard featuring a beloved scene of Mei following the small white Totoro.

These charming planters, inspired by Studio Ghibli films, are sure to please any fan, but they come with a higher price tag. The Totoro planter costs around 14,300 yen (about $89.53), and the Kiki planter is slightly less at 14,030 yen ($87.84). For comparison, similar planters re-released in 2024 were much more affordable, costing 4,620 yen (~$31) and 4,180 yen (~$28).

Donguri Sora is planning to release these products again in April. However, the flowers included in the first release, which was timed for Mother’s Day, won’t be part of this second run. While the official Studio Ghibli shop doesn’t ship internationally, it’s likely that online retailers like Meccha Japan and Sugoi Mart, which both offer worldwide shipping, will carry them soon.

You can watch My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service on either Max or Netflix, depending on where you are located.
