Walton Goggins & Marion Cotillard Cast in ‘Job,’ Provocative Adaptation of the Bible’s ‘Book of Job.’

Walton Goggins has become one of the most recognizable faces in streaming entertainment. He’s quickly built a strong resume with major roles in popular franchises, including the recent third season of HBO’s The White Lotus as Rick Hatchett, and a return to Prime Video’s Fallout as The Ghoul/Cooper Howard. Add to that his appearances in blockbuster films like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), and it’s clear that Walton Goggins is having a remarkably successful period in his career.

Goggins has several upcoming projects, starting with a film called Mister, which is being produced by the company behind the John Wick series, Thunder Road Films. Following that, he’ll be diving into a new and compelling role exploring the world of religious history.

According to Variety, Walton Goggins and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (known for Inception) will star in a new film called Job. The movie is a modern take on the biblical story of Job, focusing on a couple who are putting on a dramatic and elaborate performance of the tale. The story centers around Job, a man whose faith is challenged when he loses everything – his possessions, family, and health – but who remains steadfast in his beliefs. The film is written and directed by Yuval Adler (Sympathy for the Devil).

A synopsis of the new movie reveals it will weave between the past and present, contrasting an age-old battle between good and evil with a troubled modern marriage. The film explores the pressures faced by a couple as they grapple with difficult choices and question who holds the power in their relationship. Currently, there are no announced plans for when the movie will be made or released.
