Great news for fans of Victorious! Filming has finished on Hollywood Arts, the upcoming spinoff series. Daniella Monet, who played Trina Vega, shared the news on Instagram, confirming she’s reprising her role.
Monet announced the completion of the first season of her show, sharing photos and videos from the last day of filming. She also posted a heartfelt open letter thanking everyone involved in the series, explaining how the show came about and expressing her gratitude. Trina Vega Returns to Hollywood Arts
From the very beginning, it was crucial that our show’s sets had a consistent feel and that we assembled the perfect cast. We were thrilled to bring back production designer Tristan Dalley, who worked on Victorious, and we found an incredible cast: Alyssa Miles, Erika Swayze, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, and Martin Kamm. We all felt instantly connected, and this is truly our show – it was meant to be.
She shared, “Each of you inspires me with your talent, dedication, and genuine spirit. I’m so grateful to be a part of this journey with you all. There’s something truly special about this show—a real energy—and everyone keeps saying it, because it’s true! I wish I could hold onto this feeling and enjoy it with you forever. Whatever the future holds, I’ll always be here for you, and I can’t wait to see you continue to shine, bringing your light to everything you do.”
Netflix revealed plans for a Hollywood Arts series in October 2025. While the original Victorious creator, Dan Schneider, isn’t working on this new show, it’s being written by Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin, and directed by Jonathan Judge. All four will also serve as executive producers.
Will Other Victorious Stars Appear in Hollywood Arts?
Victorious was a Nickelodeon show that ran from 2010 to 2013. It followed Tori Vega, played by Victoria Justice, as she attended Hollywood Arts, a high school for aspiring performers. The story begins when Tori unexpectedly starts attending after stepping in for her older sister, Trina, in a school performance, and quickly makes a group of close friends.
The show starred Ariana Grande as Cat Valentine, a character she previously played in the short-lived series Sam & Cat. The cast also included Leon Thomas III as Andre, Matt Bennett as Robbie, Elizabeth Gillies as Jade, and Avan Jogia as Beck. Yvette Nicole Brown is expected to reprise her role as Principal Helen Dubois, but it’s currently unknown if any other actors from Victorious will be involved in the new spinoff.
While Netflix hasn’t announced an exact release date, the new series Hollywood Arts is currently planned to premiere in 2026. The show, a spinoff of Victorious, will initially launch on Netflix with 26 episodes in its first season. After that, it will also be available to watch on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
