DC fans recently got a new glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, but with a Batman-inspired look. The image was shared by director Zack Snyder, known for his work on DC films like Man of Steel and Justice League. Gadot previously played Wonder Woman in the now-ended DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
Zack Snyder shares Gal Gadot’s new Wonder Woman photo with a Batman twist
The experienced director recently shared a picture on social media of the Israeli actress, reimagined as Wonder Woman with a Batman-inspired look. He’s been posting a lot of photos from his ‘Snyderverse’ projects to connect with his followers lately.
Zack Snyder shared a photo on Instagram of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, posed in a fighting stance and wearing her classic Amazonian armor. Notably, she’s also wearing large, dark gauntlets that appear to be from Batman. Snyder captioned the photo, “@gal_gadot my Wonder Woman #zacksnydersjusticeleague.”
Fans reacted to the photo, with one writing, “My new favorite photo of Wonder Woman #restorethesnyderverse,” hoping for a continuation of Zack Snyder’s DC films. Another commenter agreed, saying, “She’s Wonder Woman for all of us,”
Someone else praised the outfit, writing, “That’s so badass!!! My Wonder Woman!!” Another DC Comics fan commented, “So awesome! You look amazing with those gauntlets…You’re my Diana Prince Wonder Woman.”
Gal Gadot famously played Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) in several films, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984, Justice League, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. She also made brief, uncredited appearances in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash.
With the end of the DCEU, James Gunn is now leading the new DCU. This means a new actress will soon be playing Wonder Woman. Gunn told Entertainment Weekly in June 2025 that a Wonder Woman project is in development, separate from the previously announced Paradise Lost series for HBO/Max, which is still progressing. He confirmed that the script for the new Wonder Woman story is currently being written.
In December 2025, a co-CEO at DC responded to a post on Threads claiming that Wonder Woman’s casting for the DC Universe would be announced in January 2026. However, Gunn quickly dismissed the rumor, simply stating, “Nope.”
