Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of the popular manga, has publicly addressed the upcoming conclusion of Part 2 for the first time. His statement perfectly reflects his well-known quirky and unique personality.
Fujimoto shared a personal recommendation on X (formerly Twitter): he recently saw the new Disney/Pixar movie, Hoppers, and really enjoyed it. He described the experience as “becoming a beaver” and encourages others to watch it too.
That’s all there was to the post. But despite its brevity, it might reveal more about how the manga concluded than a lengthy explanation could.
Chainsaw Man Creator’s Latest Statement Might Hint at Part 3
Fujimoto primarily uses the account to act like Koharu Nagayama, an elementary school student. He frequently tweets humorous thoughts about movies or food, and almost always finishes by saying “I recommend it.” But his Nagayama account isn’t just for jokes; he uses it for other things too.
Fujimoto has recently been active on the “Nagayama” X account, sharing artwork like his latest piece of Hanaroku from the anime film A New Dawn. He also often shares official posts from the various Chainsaw Man social media accounts.
Tatsuki Fujimoto was very active on X (formerly Twitter) while the Reze Arc movie was in theaters, frequently sharing trailers. That’s why his lack of response to the apparent conclusion of the Chainsaw Man manga is so striking. It’s hard to believe he doesn’t know fans are deeply upset, especially since they’ve been constantly commenting about it on his posts for the last week.
Fujimoto’s recent comment seems to be his way of letting everyone know he’s still active online, paying attention to what’s happening, and isn’t worried at all. If Chainsaw Man was actually ending, it’s probable his playful, younger persona would have at least commented on it.
Chainsaw Man Part 2 Will Not Be The End of the Chainsaw Man Manga

The second part of Chainsaw Man concluded with a release on March 10th, but it wasn’t immediately clear if the story would continue in a Part 3 or if the manga had finished altogether. Since then, details have emerged, leaving fans even more unsure about the future of the series.
When chapter 231 of Chainsaw Man was initially published, the English version included a message on the last page stating a final chapter would arrive on March 24th. However, this message was quickly changed to simply “To be continued,” and that’s what readers see on digital platforms now. This last-minute edit has caused a lot of confusion about whether the series is ending, and Shonen Jump hasn’t offered any clarification.
After the release of the second-to-last chapter of Chainsaw Man Part 2, Shonen Jump’s official X (formerly Twitter) account posted two confusing announcements about the ending. First, they announced a “Series Finale Commemoration,” which made it sound like the story was over for good. Then, they posted about a “Part 2 Conclusion Commemoration,” hinting that there might be more to come.
Gizmodo’s i09 recently addressed the confusion surrounding Chainsaw Man, reporting that the Shonen Jump team confirmed the series is ending, but haven’t shared specifics yet. While the initial announcement seemed to indicate the entire series was concluding, the mention of “further details” suggests that may not be the case. Ultimately, there’s still no definitive information available.
Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man, intentionally avoids providing clear answers to questions raised in the series. This approach has divided fans, with some feeling that the characters, like Denji, don’t develop enough, or that deaths lack impact. The story, especially in Part 2, rarely offers firm resolutions. So, it’s almost expected that even at the very end, fans are left wondering if the manga has actually concluded.
Chainsaw Man Part 3 Is Fujimoto’s Last Chance to Conclude His Opus on a High Note
Pochita’s fate in Chainsaw Man chapter 231 might suggest the story is ending, but there still seems to be a lot more to explore with Denji. Although Asa’s storyline reached a decent point with the battle against Yoru, it’s unlikely her story truly ends with her allowing Yoru to be intimate with Denji.
Honestly, I wasn’t surprised by how things played out – it felt pretty inevitable after the first part ended. There were just too many loose ends and unanswered questions in the Chainsaw Man world to tie everything up neatly in just one chapter. A third part, though? That feels like the right way to really finish the story.
Honestly, all the worry and speculation about Chainsaw Man‘s ending? It seems like Fujimoto just doesn’t care, and that’s kind of refreshing! Through all the controversy and questions, he seems totally unfazed. If anything, his calm attitude is the one thing Chainsaw Man fans can actually count on right now.
I saw Fujimoto’s first post on X since the latest Chainsaw Man chapter came out, and it really seemed like he anticipated all the reaction. Honestly, it felt like he was just playfully stirring the pot, which isn’t unusual for him – and that’s actually a good sign! It’s hard to believe he’d be so calm if this wasn’t all intentional, and it makes me feel a little more hopeful about Part 3 actually happening.
The final chapter of Chainsaw Man Part 2, Chapter 232, will be released on March 24th. Unlike the transition from Part 1, where a sequel wasn’t announced for months, fans are eagerly anticipating a similar note at the end of this chapter. After Part 1 concluded with a hint of a continuation – “End of Part 1: Public Safety Arc” – everyone expects to see something like “End of Part 2: Academy Arc” on the final page.
A recent tweet from 3rd grader Koharu Nagayama suggests that the creator of Chainsaw Man isn’t concerned about recent developments, so fans might not need to worry either.
