Rebecca Ferguson’s Silo Season 3 Release Window

Rebecca Ferguson is currently involved in a number of exciting projects, building on her success in popular film series. But fans are especially eager to find out when her next big release will be.

Rebecca Ferguson recently discussed the upcoming third season of her Apple TV+ sci-fi series, Silo, while promoting her new book, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Silo first premiered in 2023, with the second season arriving in 2024. Good news for fans: Ferguson has now confirmed that Season 3 will be released in the summer of 2026.

She still hasn’t announced a release date, but progress is being made on the show, though she admits she’s unsure when it will premiere on Apple TV.

Silo Will End With Season 4

Apple TV has ordered a final season of the show, ensuring the complete adaptation of Hugh Howey’s book trilogy. Created by Graham Yost, the series will conclude after this upcoming season, giving the creators ample time to bring the full story to the screen.

Apple TV has announced that filming for Season 3 of Silo is complete! They shared a photo from the series on March 6th with the message “One for the Pact.” The first two seasons were filmed one after the other, and Season 3 wrapped up production in May 2025, with the cast and crew resuming work in August 2025.

During an appearance on the TODAY show, Ferguson admitted she’s feeling both sad and unable to accept that filming has ended, describing it as a drawn-out and difficult goodbye – the longest she’s ever experienced.

Ferguson said that after five years of working together, the team had become very close. She explained that recently, almost every day felt like a farewell, as people wrapped up their work. It was emotional watching colleagues finish their final scenes and takes.

She shared that she’s feeling a mix of emotions – exhausted and sad, but also a bit directionless. However, she also feels liberated, knowing they’ve accomplished something amazing. She hinted that the upcoming seasons, 3 and 4, will be even more impressive than the first two, and insisted that’s definitely the case.

Silo Season 3 Will Feature a Major Difference

As a critic, I’ve been following the reception of this show, and it’s a bit of a fascinating split. Critics are overwhelmingly positive – we’re talking a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes – but audiences seem to feel differently, giving it a score of just 67%. It’s a show that critics generally love, though it doesn’t always connect with viewers in the same way.

Many viewers found the show too visually dark, and the creators have taken that feedback to heart. Showrunner Graham Yost even suggested viewers increase their screen brightness. Season 3 will feature a new cinematographer, replacing Baz Irvine who left the series due to health issues, and will have a brighter overall look.

Silo Season 3 is expected to premiere on Apple TV in the summer of 2025.
