To celebrate the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, two new, special-edition popcorn buckets have been announced. The film continues the adventures of Mario and Luigi as they work to save the galaxy from Bowser and his son, Bowser Jr. Following the success of the first movie, this new installment is also offering fun, themed popcorn buckets for moviegoers.

Yoshi is one of the standout new characters in the upcoming Super Mario movie, and he’s already getting his own cute popcorn bucket! Plus, Illumination is also releasing popcorn buckets shaped like Bowser and the Lumas.

AMC Theatres created a special “Bowser bucket” for the Super Mario Bros. Movie. It’s small – designed to match Bowser’s shrunken size in the film – and playfully references his situation. While it’s a fun collectible, the bucket doesn’t hold a lot of popcorn, especially for a longer movie like the sequel.

Cinemark recently showed off the Bowser’s Cauldron bucket that comes with their Super Mario Bros. Movie Super Ticket Package. The bucket is small – about the size of a keychain – and features a miniature figure of Bowser from the film attached to it.

A new popcorn bucket shaped like a Luma from Super Mario Galaxy has been released through Fandango. Lumas are cute, star-shaped characters in the Mario universe known for their playful, childlike qualities.

Everyone loved the Lumas in the first Super Mario movie, so it’s great to see them getting their own special popcorn bucket for the new film! This bucket is designed to look like a little orange Luma and even glows, just like the character’s powers!

The Luma bucket is a fun collectible shaped like a character, with a hidden compartment in the back for popcorn and a light-up base that glows orange. You can pre-order it now for $49.99, and the bundle includes a ticket to see The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The adorable Lumas will be back in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and they won’t be alone! Princess Rosalina, who the Lumas see as a mother to them, will also appear.

Lumas will definitely return in the sequel, and with Princess Rosalina joining the adventure, they’re expected to be even more important this time around. The orange Luma seen on the popcorn bucket design might be a nod to Co-Star Luma from Super Mario Galaxy 2 – a Luma players could actually control in that game.
