The 2026 Oscars are almost here. This year’s awards season has seen two films, One Battle After Another and Sinners, emerge as clear favorites. Meanwhile, some highly anticipated movies didn’t receive the nominations they hoped for, and other frontrunners have lost ground in various categories.
The 98th Academy Awards will be held on March 15th at the famous Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. All of the 2026 Oscar nominees will be there, hoping to win a coveted golden statue. As the event approaches, we have all the details you need, including how and where to watch, the start time, who’s hosting, and a list of the nominated films.
Where To Watch The Oscars
You have several ways to watch this year’s Oscars. ABC is broadcasting the show on television (until it moves to YouTube in 2029), so you can watch for free on cable through your local ABC station.
This year marks another first for the Oscars: it’s the first time the ceremony will be available to stream on Hulu. Since Disney owns both Hulu and ABC, all Hulu subscribers – no matter their plan – will be able to watch the show.
You can watch the Oscars on streaming services like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV. Any subscription to these services will give you access, even if you’re using a free trial.
You can also watch the 2026 Oscars on ABC.com or the ABC app after logging in with your TV provider’s information.
If you’re not in the United States, you can still watch the Oscars! A link is available with international viewing options, as the show is broadcast in over 200 countries worldwide.
What Time Do The Oscars Start?
If you usually watch the Oscars, be aware that the show will start earlier next year. The Academy has moved the ceremony to 7:00pm EDT / 4:00pm PDT / 11:00pm GMT / 7:00am CST. You can tune in for red carpet coverage several hours beforehand.
Who Is Hosting The Oscars?
Conan O’Brien will host the 2026 Oscars, returning after successfully hosting last year’s ceremony. He signed on just two weeks after the most recent awards show. With the 97th Academy Awards drawing 19.69 million viewers – the largest audience in five years – bringing O’Brien back as host is a logical choice.
O’Brien also made a brief appearance in the Oscar-nominated film, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

They will be announcing winners in various categories.
Adrien Brody, Mikey Madison, Kieran Culkin, and Zoe Saldaña – all recent Oscar winners – will be presenters at the awards show.
