HIDIVE announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the first three episodes of the anime Farming Life in Another World are now available to stream for free. This is a great way for fans to enjoy a relaxing springtime watch, and it comes before the premiere of Season 2, which is set to release in April 2026.
Cozy Isekai Hit Farming Life in Another World Gets Free Episode Release Ahead of Season 2
Originally a light novel series that began in 2016, Farming Life in Another World was created by Kinosuke Naito with illustrations by Yasumo. It was later adapted into both a manga and a popular anime by studio Zero-G. The story centers around Hiraku Machio, an unhealthy office worker who dies and is reborn in a new world by a god, who gifts him with a remarkably powerful farming tool.
Hiraku chose a quiet life of farming instead of seeking adventure. He used a special tool to cultivate land in the dangerous Death Forest, slowly transforming it into the flourishing Great Tree Village. As the village prospered, he also found himself surrounded by a growing group of companions – elves, vampires, angels, and other magical creatures.
This series has become popular because it offers a relaxed take on the isekai genre. Instead of focusing on epic battles and dramatic conflicts, it centers on the simple pleasures of farming, cooking, and building a close-knit community. Fans appreciate its gentle pace and the heartwarming growth of Great Tree Village. The show is also known for its growing number of female characters and the lighthearted, comedic relationships that develop around the main character, Hiraku.
The first season of Farming Life in Another World ended with Hikaru becoming a father and the thriving Great Tree Village being built. Now, the story is moving forward with the creation of a second village, Great Tree Village 2. Season 2 will likely focus on building this new settlement and continuing to follow Hikaru’s expanding family and relationships. A trailer released in January showed us a glimpse of new characters who will be joining the story, including Gordon, Gruwald, Igu, Mamu, Narf, and Ronana.
