From Is Blowing Up on Streaming Ahead of Season 4

A science fiction horror series is gaining renewed popularity on streaming platforms as it approaches its fourth season. Since its debut in 2022, the show has steadily built a larger following with each new season.

According to streaming data from FlixPatrol, From is now the second most popular show on MGM+ in the U.S. Currently, the top spot belongs to another series that launched in early February. Despite the fact that From‘s third season finished airing in late 2024, its continued presence on the charts suggests a strong future for the show.

The show From has been consistently popular for the past year, staying in the Top 10 in America for an impressive 369 days. It originally premiered on Epix in 2022 and moved to MGM+ for its second season. While it previously released a new season each year, the fourth season will break that pattern and arrive on April 19th.

From Season 4 Will Start Answering Questions

Okay, so “From” definitely isn’t a show that rushes things. It reminded me a bit of “Lost” or “Dark” in how slowly it builds the mystery. The premise is this: a small town, no name given, and everyone who lives there is trapped – they just can’t leave. But being stuck isn’t even the worst part. Because when night falls, terrifying creatures come out to hunt them. It’s a genuinely creepy setup, though it takes a while to really get going.

The series began with the Matthews family finding themselves stranded in a mysterious town. For three seasons, they’ve been trying to escape and uncover the truth, and finally, hints of those answers are starting to emerge.

A cryptic remark about the price of knowledge signaled the return of the mysterious Man in Yellow, confirming the town’s residents are still in danger.

As the characters get closer to uncovering the truth in Season 4, the stakes become increasingly dangerous. Their investigation focuses on the mysterious Man in Yellow – his identity, his motives, and how he relates to Jade and Tabitha. Ultimately, they hope to understand how these connections will allow them to finally escape the town.

The upcoming season will introduce a new character, and MGM+ hinted that their arrival will cause trouble, suggesting some residents will regret their appearance.

According to Small Screen, the upcoming season promises to be intense and captivating, continuing the show’s established tone.

From’s Future Is Still Unclear Beyond Season 4

Created by John Griffin, the series From has quickly become popular and has been very well-received. Critics overwhelmingly approve of the show, giving it a 96% rating over its first three seasons, while audiences give it an 80% rating. The third season, in particular, earned a perfect 100% score from critics.

The show’s fate after season four remains uncertain. While there’s potential for more, the creators and MGM+ haven’t announced any future plans or how long the series might continue.

During a November 2024 interview, Harold Perrineau and Elizabeth Saunders, the actors who play Boyd and Donna, discussed the show’s future. Saunders explained that the series was always planned to unfold over a long period of time, with a larger story arc in mind. She said, ‘Everything was designed to play out over the long term.’

She doesn’t believe the show was ever planned to last for ten seasons, and she’s not sure if the creators have a specific ending in mind. She’s hoping it will be renewed for at least two more seasons.

From Season 4 premieres on MGM+ on Apr. 19.
