Marvel fans have finally gotten a glimpse of the next White Tiger! The character appears in a new trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. The trailer shows Camila Rodriguez as Angela Del Toro standing with Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page as a hidden danger approaches.
Interestingly, the costume worn by Rodriguez’s character closely resembles the black-and-white outfit worn by the original White Tiger, Hector Ayala (played by Kamar de los Reyes), in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. Ayala was previously represented by Matt Murdock in court before being fatally shot by a dishonest police officer.
This launched Daredevil’s investigation into the corruption within the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, created by Mayor Wilson Fisk (played by Vincent D’Onofrio). The investigation eventually led to the complete dismantling of the AVTF, and the officer responsible for killing Ayala met his end in an apartment building explosion.
After her uncle died, Angela Del Toro became the White Tiger in Marvel Comics. However, she was eventually corrupted by the evil ninja group called The Hand, forcing her to give up the role. Her aunt, Ava Ayala, then became the new White Tiger instead.
What Can Fans Expect from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?
The new season of the show is almost here, and fans can’t wait for all the excitement it promises. In February, the show’s creator, Dario Scadapane, talked about how making the first season was a uniquely enjoyable challenge.
The show took a new direction, becoming more like a legal procedural with a lot of courtroom scenes. We had a lot of raw footage and essentially pieced it together. However, by clearly establishing the show’s core identity at the beginning and end, we were able to move into the second season with a clear and focused storyline.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on March 24.
