If you’re looking for something to watch on Prime Video this weekend, three shows are getting a lot of attention: a popular crime thriller, a side-splitting prank comedy, and a brand-new series that explores the origins of a famous spy universe. While Prime Video has plenty of great older shows like Sneaky Pete, Catastrophe, and Patriot, these are the ones everyone’s currently talking about.

Cross

Since it debuted in February, season 2 of Cross has become a hit on Prime Video, earning lots of praise from viewers. Based on the popular books by James Patterson, the series features Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, a complex and gifted detective working in Washington, D.C.

Six episodes of Cross season 2 are now streaming on Prime Video, with the final two coming soon. If you haven’t started watching yet—either season 1 or season 2—this weekend is a great time to begin. Cross is quickly becoming a flagship series for Prime Video, similar to Bosch and Reacher, and it’s a consistently high-quality show that’s definitely worth checking out.

Jury Duty

If you enjoy shows like The Eric Andre Show, Nathan For You, or classic hidden camera programs like Candid Camera, you should check out Jury Duty on Prime Video. It’s a reality series that cleverly mixes real life with fiction. A fake trial is staged with paid actors, but one juror, Ronald Gladden, is unaware that everything around him is a setup.

If you’re looking for a quick and engaging watch, check out Jury Duty. With only 8 episodes, each under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a weekend binge. Even though it first came out in April 2023, it’s still a great choice for March 6-8, 2026, especially since the first three episodes of season 2 are coming out on March 20th!

Season 2 of Jury Duty, now called Jury Duty: Company Retreat, follows Anthony, a man who doesn’t realize he’s the subject of a reality TV prank. Young Sherlock

If you’re looking for a new show to watch this weekend, March 6–8, 2026, check out Young Sherlock on Prime Video. Co-created by Guy Ritchie, the series stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a young Sherlock Holmes who’s trying to rebuild his reputation. When a murder occurs, he gets drawn into his very first case – a thrilling, worldwide adventure that reveals a larger conspiracy.

Critics and viewers generally liked Young Sherlock, giving it scores of 83% and 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. All eight episodes became available on Prime Video on March 4, 2026, making it a great choice for a weekend binge-watch, especially for fans of the Sherlock Holmes stories.
