Fans have gotten a first look at an upcoming fight from Season 3! Images of Cha Haein’s character design for the beginning of the season, called the Recruitment Arc, have appeared online.
This leak is interesting because it actually comes from the early development stages of Solo Leveling Season 1, appearing online before the series even launched – though it didn’t gain much traction then. Recently, with very little news about Season 3, a user on X (@SoloLevelingENG) found the old artwork and realized it showed what Haein was expected to look like in Season 3 (or, according to many insiders, a potential movie). These official anime designs prove that A-1 Pictures has been planning their vision for the adaptation for a long time, reassuring fans that Season 3 is still in the works.
Solo Leveling Concept Art Leaks Reveal Cha Haein’s Design For Season 3
Although there’s no official news about when Solo Leveling Season 3 will be made or released, evidence suggests that A-1 Pictures has been preparing for it all along. Leaked concept art for the character Cha Haein appears to be a guide for animators to ensure her design stays consistent. What’s particularly notable is that the art includes her appearance from a story arc (‘Recruitment Arc’) that won’t be shown until Season 3.
I’m a huge fan of Cha Haein, and I love her design from the Recruitment Arc! You can see it in the artwork – it’s what she wears during those early ‘test’ fights. It’s actually a pretty relaxed look for her, just a simple T-shirt and black jeans, which really shows off her everyday style. Basically, Haein shows up at Jinwoo and Jinho’s new Guild headquarters wanting to join as their third member. But Jinwoo, being Jinwoo, makes her prove herself with a series of battles against Igris and Beru – a real trial by fire!
The design for Season 3 of the anime clearly shows the lasting influence of DUBU, the original webtoon artist of Solo Leveling. It’s a strong indication that his iconic style continues to inspire the adaptation. Interestingly, the concept art released for Season 3 only covers Haein’s designs up to the Recruitment Arc. We see her raid uniform from Jeju Island and her athletic wear from the sparring match with Japanese Hunters, but there’s no artwork showing her appearance from the Double Dungeon Arc onward.
I’m really excited about Haein’s look in the Double Dungeon Arc! It’s awesome to see her in a battle outfit reminiscent of the Jeju Island Raid, but with a cute twist – her hair is tied up with a ribbon. Plus, her gear looks even more protected with extra armor! It’s interesting that we haven’t seen any concept art for the arc yet, which makes me wonder if A-1 Pictures might be planning to turn it into a full-length movie – that would be incredible!
Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Likely Coincide With a Movie Release

While Season 3 of Solo Leveling hasn’t been officially announced, it’s clear the animation team has already been developing designs for future story arcs. This is encouraging, especially considering the significant work A-1 Pictures has been doing privately. Last year, the series creator, Chugong, hinted in an interview that pre-production was underway, adding fuel to the speculation.
The author of Solo Leveling, Chugong, has confirmed that discussions about a movie adaptation were taking place, though he didn’t share any details. This was supported by leaked financial records indicating plans for a Solo Leveling movie to be announced or released in 2026.
Popular online creators who focus on Solo Leveling have recently suggested that Tetsuya Takeuchi – a famous animator known for his work on shows like Sword Art Online, Lycoris Recoil, and Naruto – might direct the upcoming movie. With A-1 Pictures finishing up other major projects, many believe production on the long-awaited Solo Leveling movie could start soon, but this is still just rumor for now.
Recent leaks of concept art for Cha Haein suggest that Solo Leveling might return with a short third season before moving into the hugely popular Double Dungeon Arc as a movie. Even if a movie is planned, the leaked art provides the first official glimpse of Cha Haein’s design for the next season. Judging by these images, the upcoming story arcs promise to be visually stunning, regardless of how they’re presented.
