Marvel Confirms the 4th Big Superhero TV Show Releasing In Spring 2026

Marvel announced a fourth superhero series coming in Spring 2026 – a spin-off connected to Sony’s Spider-Verse films. Spring releases will focus on continuing popular shows, with new seasons picking up where the last ones left off – including Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again and Season 4 of Invincible. Alongside these returning favorites, there will be a brand-new show with a lot of promise due to its connection to the Marvel universe.

All episodes of Spider-Noir will be available on May 27th, making it the fourth superhero series announced for Spring 2026. It joins Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, The Boys Season 5, and Invincible Season 4 in a busy season for the genre.

There’s a lot of excitement building for Spider-Noir, because the character appears in Sony Pictures’ popular Spider-Verse animated films.

Okay, so I just finished watching Spider-Noir, and it’s a really interesting take on the Spider-Man mythos. It drops us into a gritty, 1930s New York City, and follows Ben Reilly – he’s a private eye who also happens to be the city’s sole protector. But the story isn’t just about fighting crime; it’s about Reilly facing up to his history as a hero while dealing with a bunch of familiar – and some newly twisted – Spider-Man villains. It’s a dark, atmospheric ride, and a clever spin on the character.

As a big Spider-Man fan, I was really excited to see so many classic villains show up in Spider-Noir. The game throws a ton of familiar faces at you – Silvermane, Sandman, Electro, and just a whole bunch of other baddies from Spider-Man’s history. It’s awesome!

Beyond the captivating story, Spider-Noir is generating excitement thanks to its impressive cast, featuring Nicolas Cage, Brendan Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li (playing Black Cat in live-action for the first time), Jack Huston, and a host of other talented actors.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, as part of the spring release schedule.

The show centers around a dangerous conflict where Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, leads a rebellion against Mayor Wilson Fisk. Fisk has imposed martial law in New York City, and Murdock and his group are determined to end his oppressive rule.

A highlight of Season 2 is the return of Jessica Jones as a key character, after being absent for a while. It will be fascinating to see how she’s developed since we last saw her in Season 3 of her own series, and how her relationship with Daredevil has evolved.

Season 4 of Invincible is expected to be its most compelling yet, as it begins adapting the epic Viltrumite War storyline from the comic books. This season will heavily feature Thragg and expand the conflict to a galactic scale with the Viltrumites’ impending invasion.

Okay, so I’m really excited for Invincible Season 4! It’s dropping on Prime Video with a three-episode premiere on March 18th, and from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be a wild ride. They’re planning to deal with a bunch of big stuff – like Atom Eve figuring out her powers, whether Mark and Nolan will ever make amends, and the huge showdown between the Coalition of Planets and those Viltrumites. It sounds like everything’s coming to a head!

Season 5 of The Boys is the final season of the popular Prime Video show, building up to a massive confrontation between the heroes and the villain Homelander.

The upcoming conflict promises to be incredibly brutal, with many casualties expected as Homelander relentlessly pursues his goal of becoming a god.

The Boys Season 5 will premiere on Prime Video on April 8.

Why Spider-Noir Has a Lot of Potential To Be Successful

Everyone’s already talking about Spider-Noir before it even comes out in May, mostly because it’s connected to the popular Marvel universe and Spider-Man stories.

The show has the potential to be a big hit in Spring 2026, thanks to Nicolas Cage’s popularity and a unique release strategy. Fans will be able to choose whether to watch the show in color or black and white, similar to the ‘Snyder Cut’ approach.

It’s interesting that this is Nicolas Cage’s first time leading a TV series, which suggests he really believes in the potential of Spider-Noir. Cage is known for carefully choosing his projects, and he doesn’t often commit to long-running TV shows.

Honestly, what really excites me about this project is the potential for a Spider-Man story that feels completely different. We’ve seen so many versions of Spider-Man on film, and this gives Spider-Noir the chance to be unique and stand on its own. It’s a fresh approach that I think will help it avoid the burnout people are starting to feel with superhero movies in general. I’m really hoping it breaks the mold!
