Verdict on Cleaner

Recap

The film centers around a veteran-turned-window cleaner who unwillingly becomes involved in a hostage crisis. As she strives to rescue the captives, she also seeks to protect her own sibling. Meanwhile, the terrorists have more extensive demands aimed at perceived adversaries.

Best Parts

The film effectively utilizes the towering skyscraper as a central setting, where the character Joey spends a considerable part of the movie confined outside of the building. The antagonist possesses compelling reasons that might make viewers sympathize with their intent, despite questionable methods. When the action commences, it’s satisfactorily engaging.

Worst Parts

The film overdoes its attempt to be shocking at the outset, which unfortunately obscures a compelling aspect of the villain’s narrative. As a result, it veers towards becoming a didactic tale, failing to live up to its intended impact.

Final ThoughtsCleaner is an easy-to-watch late-night-action movie.
