Marvel Studios has unveiled the logo for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and it’s a great fit for the new episodes. As the March 24th release date approaches, the studio is increasing its promotional efforts, sharing official photos and a trailer with fans.
Marvel recently shared the first poster featuring Jessica Jones as she appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, continuing her story from the Netflix Defenders series. The Jessica Jones poster included a new Daredevil logo, and this logo also appeared on other posters for the upcoming season featuring different characters. It seems the new logo will be a consistent visual element for Daredevil: Born Again.

The new logo comes in two main designs. The first features Daredevil’s well-known “DD” initials, directly inspired by the look on his comic book costume. The letters are both uppercase and designed to overlap, clearly representing Daredevil. Sometimes, only these letters are used in promotional materials like posters.

The “DD” symbol reappears in another poster, specifically the one featuring Jessica Jones. This time, it’s enclosed within a red circle. The letters ‘D’ still overlap each other and remain capitalized.
Marvel appears to be using the iconic “DD” logo—Daredevil’s signature mark—to represent the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and that makes perfect sense.
The new season of Daredevil: Born Again will feature a redesigned Daredevil suit for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. Unlike the primarily red suit from Season 1, the Season 2 suit will be mostly black with red accents, as shown in the official trailer and promotional photos.
The Daredevil costume will feature the “DD” logo prominently on the chest, matching the red color seen in promotional posters. These posters appear to be using the logo as a unifying element and may hint at a significant emotional shift for the character in the new season.

The font used for the Daredevil symbol on his Season 2 suit is similar to the one on the promotional posters, though there are slight differences. Importantly, the symbol on the suit itself doesn’t have a red circle around the ‘D’s.
Daredevil’s comic book appearances have featured several different logos over the years. The design on his chest has been subtly updated with each iteration.

Initially, Daredevil’s costume was very simple, featuring just a single “D” on the front. While it was still red, the design looked quite different compared to his more recent outfits.

Daredevil’s logo has appeared in similar forms before, often with minor color variations. A comic book version, for example, used a red “DD” symbol on a red suit, but with black outlines to make it stand out.

The “DD” symbol has appeared in every on-screen version of Daredevil. In the 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck, the logo was featured on Daredevil’s suit, but it was positioned on the left chest instead of the center, and it was slightly smaller than in other versions.

As a big fan of older animated series, I always remember Daredevil’s look in Spider-Man: The Animated Series – that show from the mid-90s. He wore a red suit with a red “DD” right on his chest. The logo’s font was a little more basic than some versions, but it was still really recognizable and definitely iconic.

In the video game Marvel Rivals, Daredevil’s red suit featured a red “DD” logo. This logo wasn’t just painted on—it was raised, making it stand out more.
Daredevil’s New Logo Holds Great Symbolism
The new “DD” symbol on Daredevil’s suit in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is a different look from the first season. Marvel Studios seems to be highlighting this change, as the logo appears prominently on many of the promotional materials.
Trailers and interviews suggest the upcoming second season of Born Again will show a changed Daredevil. Following the events of Season 1, he’s become more enraged and violent, reflected in his new, almost completely black suit.
The updated suit represents a shift towards a more intense and complex side of Matt Murdock in the upcoming season. Despite this change, the ‘DD’ emblem signifies his continued commitment to his own moral code and his dedication to being a hero.
With the Daredevil logo appearing more and more, viewers can expect to see more of the superhero and less of Matt Murdock, the man behind the mask. Because of Wilson Fisk’s influence as mayor, Matt is currently in hiding, meaning the public won’t be seeing him much. However, Daredevil will be front and center.
