If you’re like me and have Paramount+, and you’re really in the mood to watch Tom Cruise do some incredible stunts tonight, then you absolutely have to check out Mission: Impossible – Fallout. It’s the sixth movie in the series, and honestly, it’s a total thrill ride with some of the most amazing action scenes I’ve ever seen!

The film features a meticulously planned assassination in a Paris nightclub bathroom, but it doesn’t stop there – expect incredible stunts like rooftop chases, a daring helicopter crash, and a high-altitude jump from 25,000 feet. It’s a thrilling, non-stop action movie from Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie, and it’s hard to imagine anything surpassing it.

Atomic Blonde Didn’t Quite Get the Recognition it Deserved in Theaters

The film, released in 2017, is based on the graphic novel The Coldest City by Antony Johnston and Sam Hart. However, it hasn’t received as much attention as other projects from director David Leitch, like John Wick, Deadpool 2, and Bullet Train, or from Charlize Theron, who is known for action films such as Mad Max: Fury Road, The Fate of the Furious, and The Old Guard.

It’s disappointing that more people haven’t seen Atomic Blonde because it’s an incredibly exciting and action-packed film. Charlize Theron delivers some of her most impressive fight scenes yet, playing the fearless MI6 spy Lorraine Broughton. She’s incredibly tough, cool, and dangerous, and the movie is at its best when she’s fighting waves of enemy KGB agents.

The story, where Broughton tries to retrieve a microfilm with the identities of all Berlin-based spies, is a bit complicated and mostly serves to connect exciting action sequences. That’s typical for these kinds of movies, particularly those focused on action rather than intricate spying. You can now stream it on HBO Max.

Three Days of the Condor Inspired Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Leading up to 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Russo brothers were constantly talking about how much the film owed to those classic 1970s paranoid thrillers – they specifically mentioned Robert Redford’s Three Days of the Condor as a major influence. And honestly, as a viewer, it’s immediately obvious. It’s not just because Redford appears in both movies, either; the echoes are strong and intentional.

This gripping spy thriller is packed with exciting action as Robert Redford plays a CIA researcher forced to go on the run after witnessing the murder of his colleagues. Even though it was released over 50 years ago, the film’s action scenes are still impressive. Beyond any comparisons to modern superhero movies, Three Days of the Condor remains one of Redford’s strongest performances and is definitely worth streaming on MGM+.

The film showcases a remarkably sensitive performance from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Robert Redford plays Joe Turner, an intellectual analyst rather than a traditional action hero, and initially resembles a character like Jack Ryan. However, when faced with the chilling assassin Joubert, played by Max von Sydow, Redford powerfully transforms, delivering a truly impressive performance.

Enemy of the State is Tony Scott Operating at the Height of His Powers

Throughout the 1990s, director Tony Scott consistently delivered exciting action and crime thrillers on Friday nights, with films like Days of Thunder, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, and Crimson Tide. Then, in 1998, he released Enemy of the State, a gripping story starring Will Smith as a lawyer who finds himself targeted by a secret NSA surveillance team after accidentally obtaining evidence of a political murder.

Expect plenty of fast-paced chases, with Gene Hackman playing a cantankerous former spy who ends up assisting Smith. The movie culminates in a wild shootout at an Italian restaurant involving the mob, the NSA, and the FBI. Director Tony Scott was at his peak when he made Enemy of the State, and it’s one of his most successful films. It’s an exciting and entertaining movie that also has more depth than you might expect. The film boasts a memorable supporting cast, featuring Gabriel Byrne, Jon Voight, Regina King, and Jack Black.

Salt Should Have Led to Angelina Jolie’s Very Own Female Bond Franchise

According to stories, Angelina Jolie was once offered a role as a Bond girl, but she turned it down. Sadly, a follow-up movie never happened, and Angelina Jolie didn’t become the star of a female-led Bond-style franchise as many expected. It’s disappointing, because the first Salt film showed there was plenty of potential for more adventures.
