Fans of the Resident Evil series have had a lot to enjoy recently, with several excellent updated versions of older games, complete remakes, and even entirely new titles. Despite already having plenty of great Resident Evil games to choose from, numerous leaks suggest that three more games in the survival horror franchise are currently in development, and that’s on top of the recently announced Resident Evil Requiem.
We’ve known a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica was in the works, but reliable leaker Dusk Golem (AestheticGamer on X) has revealed details about several other upcoming Resident Evil games. These include Resident Evil 10, a remake of Resident Evil 0, and downloadable content for Resident Evil Requiem. It looks like Capcom has plenty of new content planned for the series over the next few years.
Multiple Resident Evil Games Are In The Works
Excellent News For Resident Evil Fans Everywhere
Even though Dusk Golem hasn’t revealed much about Resident Evil 10 – only hinting at a possible release in 2029 or 2030 – it’s good to know a new game is in development. Fans have been waiting a long time since the remake of Resident Evil 4, so it’s comforting to hear progress is being made.
Considering how Capcom has been releasing Resident Evil games and what they’re currently working on, it’s probable that we’ll see remakes of both Resident Evil: Code Veronica (potentially in 2027) and Resident Evil 0 (possibly in 2028), based on recent rumors and leaks.
There’s been some talk about why we’re hearing about RE0 now, before the remake of Code Veronica is even out. Apparently, RE0 had a much easier development process than both Requiem and Code Veronica. Code Veronica‘s remake seems to be getting a lot more detail and expanded areas, like the train section.
The Future Looks Bright For Resident Evil Fans
You’ll Have No Shortage Of Content To Sink Your Teeth Into
It’s a bit disappointing we haven’t gotten many updates on a potential Resident Evil 5 remaster, but it’s hard to complain considering all the Resident Evil content coming soon. Beyond the planned remakes, Requiem will also have more to offer with its upcoming DLC, which reportedly is already far along in development.
Now that Capcom is consistently releasing new games as planned, it’s a fantastic time to be a Resident Evil fan. There’s plenty of content to enjoy, whether you’re discovering the series for the first time or revisiting old favorites in a fresh way.
