Neil Flynn, Christa Miller Set to Reprise ‘Scrubs’ Roles for Season 10

ABC is bringing back Scrubs with a tenth season, marking the first new episodes in over a decade. The revival picks up the story after season eight, essentially erasing the events of the ninth season, and reunites the beloved staff of Sacred Heart Hospital. Fans can expect the same funny and unpredictable moments that made the show a hit in the 2000s. So far, Zach Braff and Donald Faison are confirmed to return as J.D. and Turk, along with several other original cast members, with more potentially joining them.

Okay, huge news for anyone who loved Scrubs! Deadline is reporting that Neil Flynn and Christa Miller are officially coming back for the revival. I’m so excited! Flynn will be back as the Janitor – you know, the master of pranks who always kept J.D. and everyone else on their toes. And Christa Miller is returning as Jordan Sullivan, Dr. Cox’s ex-wife. She was always delightfully sarcastic, but she really grew on you throughout the series. It’s going to be amazing to see them both again!

In addition to the returns of Flynn and Miller, Rachel Bilson, Andy Ridings, and Lisa Gilroy will also be guest stars. Flynn originally appeared on Scrubs as a guest in Season 1, then became a regular cast member from Seasons 2 through 8, and made another guest appearance in Season 9. Miller was also part of the show from the beginning, appearing as a recurring guest star throughout the original run.

Jordan & Janitor’s Impact on the ‘Scrubs’ Season 10 Revival

NBC

Look, as a critic, I’m thrilled to see the Janitor back. He’s pure comedic gold, and his playful rivalry with J.D. was always a highlight. The show wasn’t afraid to get wonderfully weird, remember that running gag about Flynn and The Fugitive? And who could forget his obsession with Elliot, affectionately known as “Blonde Doctor”? It’s those little details, like finally learning his name was Glen Matthews in the finale, that made the original so special, and I’m hoping for more of that same magic this time around.

A tenth season of Scrubs could show a more gentle side of Jordan Sullivan, years after her last appearance as Dr. Cox’s ex-wife. Though a remarriage is unlikely, the new season might explore their relationship as they co-parent their children, Jennifer and Jack, who are now probably teenagers or young adults.

Now that these two beloved characters are returning, fans are eager to find out which other original cast members might join them. Although the show will sadly continue without Sam Lloyd, who played Ted Buckland, there are still some other characters from the original series whose appearances haven’t been confirmed yet.

Leading the list of potential returning characters is Ken Jenkins as Dr. Bob Kelso, the sarcastic former head of medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital, who appeared in the first seven seasons of Scrubs. Aloma Wright is also a possibility; though her original character, Nurse Laverne Roberts, passed away in Season 6, she later returned as Nurse Shirley in Season 7. Because so little is known about the upcoming tenth season, fans are excited to see how the story unfolds.

The first two episodes of Scrubs Season 10 are scheduled to debut on ABC on Feb. 25, 2026.
