Netflix To Release Alan Ritchson’s Predator-Like Movie Soon

Alan Ritchson’s latest movie is coming to Netflix soon. Although it’s not available on the streaming service yet, the trailer and photos Ritchson has shared have created a lot of excitement. This film comes after his action comedy, Playdate, which also starred Kevin James.

Alan Ritchson-led War Machine is nearing its Netflix release date

Alan Ritchson will star as War Machine in a new film coming to Netflix on March 6, 2026. Before the official trailer was released, Ritchson shared some first-look photos with fans on February 3, and announced that the trailer would be coming soon.

The first official trailer was released on February 4, 2026, offering fans a first glimpse of the main character – a powerful and intimidating machine.

After the trailer came out, people immediately started comparing the film’s story and military themes to other popular works like “Edge of Tomorrow” and “Metal Gear Solid.” Many fans specifically drew parallels between the film’s War Machine and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in “Predator,” noting its frightening presence. The overall storyline also feels reminiscent of the 1987 film.

In a WIRED interview last year, Alan Ritchson confidently predicted the film would be Netflix’s biggest hit yet. He described it as a massive success and praised it as the most exciting project the streaming service had ever produced.

Okay, so “War Machine” throws you right into the thick of it – we’re talking the brutal final stages of Army Ranger training. But this isn’t just about push-ups and pain. The exercise goes horribly wrong, and these elite soldiers suddenly find themselves battling for their lives against something… well, something they never expected. It’s a survival thriller that takes a training scenario and cranks up the danger to eleven.

Patrick Hughes directed and co-wrote the screenplay for the film with James Beaufort. He also produced it alongside Greg McLean through their company, HUGE FILM. Todd Lieberman and Alexander Young from Hidden Pictures, and Rich Cook from Range, also served as producers. Valerie Bleth Sharp was an executive producer on the project.

Alan Ritchson stars in the movie as the main character, 81. The film also features Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber.
