Batman’s Next Big Story Sees These 2 DC Villains Unleash Hell on Gotham City

Batman’s next big story will see two iconic DC villains attempt to completely decimate Gotham City.

DC Comics revealed a new Batman storyline, “Bad Seeds,” coming later this year. The story will center around a conflict between Gotham City’s police commissioner and the mayor.

What else do we know about the new Batman DC event?

In “Bad Seeds,” Gotham City is on the brink of chaos. Police Commissioner Vandal Savage has launched an all-out attack on Batman and his allies, deploying a heavily armed private army. Meanwhile, Gotham’s mayor, Pamela Isley, abandoned by her supporters, is making a desperate gamble for control that could destroy the city. Over the course of one long, dark night, Gotham faces being overrun by dangerous, ancient plant life, all while its heroes are forced to operate in secret and evade capture.

We’ll share more information about Bad Seeds in the months ahead. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, DC Comics says to expect it in the third quarter of 2026.

Pamela Isley, also known as Poison Ivy, is set to become the new mayor of Gotham City, starting with the story in Poison Ivy #42, which will be released on March 4, 2026. The comic promises a new direction for the character as she takes office, and hints at a potentially violent path as she strives to protect the city and enact her vision for its future.
