I’m a huge Guy Ritchie fan! He’s seriously one of the best directors working in Hollywood right now. I love how he can create totally original movies like Snatch, but he’s also proven he can brilliantly reimagine big stories like Aladdin and Sherlock Holmes. And honestly, a lot of his films just have this cool, gritty, crime-focused vibe that I really enjoy.
I’ve always appreciated how Guy Ritchie isn’t afraid to try different things. He did a really fun take on the spy world with The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which critics actually liked. But honestly, his 2023 spy film is where he really shines – it’s some of his best directing, and I think it’s seriously underrated.
Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre Deserved More Praise
Okay, so last year, Guy Ritchie dropped this fun flick called Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. It’s about this super-skilled agent, Orson Fortune, and his team. They come up with this wild plan to use a famous Hollywood actor to help with a secret mission. Honestly, the idea of putting real spies with someone who’s totally out of their element is just hilarious and makes for a really entertaining watch.
Despite costing $50 million to make, the film Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre didn’t perform well at the box office, earning only $49 million. Critics were also lukewarm, giving it a 51% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie boasts exciting action and a likeable cast, although some viewers felt it didn’t deliver enough thrills. Even so, it’s an enjoyable watch, skillfully combining humor and intense action.
One of the biggest draws of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is its fantastic cast. Jason Statham stars as Orson Fortune, and he’s joined by Aubrey Plaza as a skilled hacker named Sarah, and Josh Hartnett, playing a famous actor. You’ll also see familiar faces like Cary Elwes and Hugh Grant.
Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre Is Trending On Prime Video
Jason Statham, Josh Hartnett, and Aubrey Plaze in Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre
When Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre first came out, it didn’t reach a large audience. Combined with negative reviews, most people decided to skip it in theaters. But like many films, it’s now gaining popularity on streaming services.
The action movie Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is now available on Prime Video and has quickly become the #2 most popular title, right after the new film starring Jason Momoa and David Bautista. It’s surprising for a movie that didn’t get much attention initially, and hopefully this will bring it the recognition it deserves.
