Melissa Barrera, known for her role in the Scream movies, stars in the charming romantic comedy Your Monster, which is now streaming on Netflix. It became available on February 14th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Despite facing difficult times, Laura discovers a surprising friend in her old house. At first frightened by the mysterious ‘Monster,’ she eventually connects with him through their shared passion for the theater. He then inspires her to open herself up to love again.

The film Your Monster had a small release in theaters in October 2024, earning just over $800,000 at the box office on a budget of $300,000. While it wasn’t a huge hit, it received positive reviews and currently has a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with 79% of almost 100 critics giving it a positive review.

Currently, she’s filming a survival thriller called Black Tides with John Travolta, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
