As The New Harry Potter Series Stars Filming, Percy Jackson Trio Gives Their Advice To The New Actors: ‘We’re Kind Of In The Same Position’

Over the past few months, it’s been thrilling to watch HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series take shape, set to debut in 2027. However, before we return to Hogwarts with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger as new actors breathe life into them, another cherished literary trio is making a comeback. The second season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is almost upon us, and I had the opportunity to chat with the main actors about their similar circumstances to those that the Harry Potter stars are currently experiencing.

This week at San Diego Comic Con, TopMob was present, and we managed to chat with Walker Scobell, Leah Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri during the Percy Jackson Season 2 press line on Thursday. When I posed the question to Percy, Annabeth, and Grover about any advice they might have for the upcoming Harry Potter trio, Scobell shared his thoughts first:

It’s quite intriguing to ponder over. Honestly, I can’t wait to encounter the original cast from the Harry Potter movies, you know, the ones who played the characters in Harry Potter. Additionally, I’d be thrilled to meet the new cast as well. That would certainly be an engaging experience. To tell the truth, I’m quite eager about the upcoming series and what they have planned for it. As for advice… Well, we’re both in a similar situation at the moment, so just keep your confidence high and keep moving forward. I guess I need some time to ponder more on that.

What a thrill it might be if the cast of Percy Jackson had an opportunity to meet up with their counterparts from the original Harry Potter series for a heart-to-heart conversation about their remarkable journeys! Growing up and embodying an adored character is a rare privilege that brings fans closer, making them feel like they’ve journeyed together. Interestingly, Scobell has established friendship with Logan Lerman, who portrayed Percy Jackson in the films.

Going back to Harry Potter, here’s what Jeffries said:

Just like a sturdy triangle that doesn’t break even under pressure, you all are strong too. No matter what happens, you stand together and nothing can tear you apart. That’s why I admire your group, my dear friends.

Regrettably, Leah Jeffries faced criticism upon being chosen to play Annabeth because she didn’t fit the character’s description from the books at first. Similarly, Arabella Stanton experienced this when her casting as Hermione was announced.
