Netflix just dropped the official trailer for part 2 of Bridgerton season 4, showing Benedict and Sophie struggling to build a relationship despite the challenges of their different social classes.
In the first part of the story, things heated up between Benedict and Sophie with a passionate encounter, but the moment was interrupted when Benedict proposed they become lovers secretly. While this request made sense given the social norms of the time and Benedict’s family situation, it created a difficult situation for Sophie, a lady’s maid, who is determined not to repeat the same path as her mother.
The second part of Bridgerton season 4 will put Benedict and Sophie in a difficult situation: their feelings for each other and constant closeness make it hard to let go. However, Benedict isn’t willing to give up on their connection. You can watch the official trailer below.
The show features many tender and emotional moments between Sophie and Benedict, but a key reveal is missing: Benedict discovering that Sophie is actually the mysterious Lady in Silver. It’s unclear whether Sophie will tell him, or if Benedict will figure it out himself, and how this secret will change his feelings for her.
The trailer hints at moments fans of Julia Quinn’s novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, will recognize – like another romantic encounter between Benedict and Sophie, the iconic bathtub scene, and Sophie’s choice to move out of Bridgerton House. So far, season 4 of Bridgerton has closely followed the book’s storyline, suggesting plenty more exciting events are on the way.
Season 4 focuses on the love story of Benedict and Sophie, but Bridgerton still features the whole family. Fans will be happy to see Anthony and Kate (known as “Kanthony”) return after they were not in the first part of Season 4. They’re coming back from a long trip to India and have some exciting news to share – they’re expecting a baby!
The new season will also follow Violet Bridgerton as she explores her relationship with Lord Anderson. We’ll see Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury face challenges in their friendship, and Francesca and her husband, John, will welcome John’s cousin, Michaela, as a house guest.
Netflix has renewed Bridgerton for seasons 5 and 6. It’s not yet known which sister will take center stage next, but both Francesca and Eloise are possibilities. Season 4 spent time developing Francesca’s relationship with John, suggesting her story might continue, though Eloise could also become a main focus.
Fans of Bridgerton are in for a particularly exciting season! Sophie and Benedict will challenge the rules of society as they pursue a genuine connection and true love, making this season potentially the most dramatic, groundbreaking, and romantic one yet.
Bridgerton season 4, part 2, premieres on February 26, only on Netflix.
