XO, Kitty Season 3 Release Date Confirmed By Netflix With First Look At Kitty’s Senior Year At KISS

Netflix has announced the release date for season 3 of XO, Kitty, which will follow Kitty Song-Covey as she starts her final year of high school.

The romantic comedy and coming-of-age series XO, Kitty premiered in 2023 as a continuation of the popular To All the Boys movies. Viewers first met Kitty as Lara Jean’s younger sister in those films. Now, actress Anna Cathcart takes center stage as Kitty navigates life as an exchange student in South Korea.

Netflix has announced that season 3 of XO, Kitty will premiere on April 2nd, and they’ve given fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.

The new photos show Kitty with her friends from the Korean Independent School of Seoul. They offer a sneak peek at the season finale, where Kitty was about to tell Min-ho how she feels. One photo captures a tender moment between them, with Kitty gazing at Min-ho with affection – it’s still unclear if she actually confessed her feelings.

The photos also capture moments of relaxation, like Min-ho leaning against a doorway, and fun activities such as Juliana Porter and Pra Veena enjoying the outdoors, Kitty and Yuri Han riding a roller coaster, and Jin and Quincy Shabazian having a meal. There are pictures of the students socializing at a party, playing beer pong, and posing for a group photo together.

As a critic, I remember when this all started with Netflix’s To All the Boys movies, based on Jenny Han’s hugely popular books. The premise is charmingly chaotic: a teenage girl named Lara Jean has all her secret love letters accidentally mailed, and the films follow the hilarious and heartfelt aftermath as her crushes find out exactly how she feels.

All three “To All the Boys” movies have been well-received by critics, earning a “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes with scores between 78% and 96%.

Following the popularity of the original trilogy, Han created the Netflix series XO, Kitty, working with Sascha Rothchild and Matt Kaplan as executive producers. Valentina Garza will be leading the show as showrunner for its third season. Currently, XO, Kitty has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 82%.

More than a year after the second season premiered on Netflix, viewers will at last learn what happens after the shocking cliffhanger ending of XO, Kitty.

XO, Kitty season 3 will be released Thursday, April 2 on Netflix.
