Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is a fresh collaboration between Warner Bros. Animation, Ánima, and Chatrone that positions the renowned DC Super Hero within the fascinating historical landscape of Mexico, offering fans worldwide an engaging exploration into the vibrant culture of Mesoamerica.

Under the direction of Juan Meza-Léon, who penned the script alongside Ernie Altbacker, this movie boasts a stellar English voice acting lineup featuring Jay Hernandez, known for his roles in Magnum P.I., Suicide Squad, and Raymond Cruz, recognized from Sons of Anarchy, The Mayans, and Better Call Saul.

When is the release date for Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires?

On the 19th of September, 2025, the digital version of Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires will hit the shelves. Four days later, on the 23rd of September, you’ll be able to purchase it in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats.

In a thrilling twist on the Batman mythos, this story unfolds amidst the vivid and powerful society of 16th-century Mesoamerica. In the era of the Aztec empire, the young Aztec boy Yohualli Coatl faces tragedy when his father is killed by Spanish conquistadors. To alert King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, to the danger approaching, Yohualli flees to Tenochtitlán. He learns combat skills and creates tools and weapons at the temple of the bat deity Tzinacan under the guidance of his mentor. His mission: to challenge the Spanish invasion and avenge his father’s death. On this journey, he meets significant characters such as the fierce Jaguar Woman and the charming Forest Ivy.

The movie will be offered in both Spanish and English versions, each with a different voice cast.
