According to Deadline, filming is scheduled to begin in June 2026, and the script was written by Byron Balasco, known for his work on Kingdom.
Bodyman is a thrilling story about a family Christmas that turns deadly when a wealthy and unusual billionaire decides to leave his private military company – and his children’s inheritance – to his loyal bodyguard, Jonas. As power struggles erupt, everyone fights for survival, and it’s unclear who will make it out of the family’s isolated estate alive.
Jonas shared that he’s thrilled to finally see his long-term project completed. He also expressed his excitement about working with Byron Balasco and director Gary Fleder again, adding that their collaboration makes the project particularly meaningful to him.
Producer Jeffery Greenstein says they’re constantly searching for strong stories to make action movies even better. He’s especially thrilled to work with someone as dedicated as Nick Jonas, along with a talented team, to create a realistic and exciting film that viewers will love.
This will be Fleder’s first movie since Homefront, which is now available on Netflix. Jonas has previously appeared in Jumanji: The Next Level and the World War II action film Midway.

It’s been 16 years since Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam came out, and it seems another sequel is needed! The band Connect 3, featuring the Grays, is hitting the road for a reunion tour, but they need a new opening act after their original one dropped out. Naturally, they decide the best place to find someone is back at Camp Rock. This new Camp Rock 3 will introduce a fresh group of campers, including the determined Sage (Liamani Segura) and her laid-back brother Desi (Hudson Tone), cello talent Rosie (Lumi Pollack), unique drummer Cliff (Casey Trotter), dance expert Callie (Brooklynn Pitts), popular influencer Madison (Ava Jean), and the rebellious Fletch (Malachi Barton).
Returning to the Camp Rock franchise feels like a nostalgic reunion for the three stars, but Nick Jonas’s new project with director Phil Fleder is aimed at a different crowd. This film could help him move beyond his earlier, family-oriented roles and establish himself as a more versatile actor. He’s also preparing to play Paul Stanley, the lead singer of KISS, in the upcoming biopic Shout It Out Loud.
