The Transformers are famous for changing into vehicles, but they’re not the only franchise with a surprising side! This month, two other popular series are also partnering with fast food restaurants for special promotions.
McDonald’s Happy Meals in February 2026 will include toys from two popular transforming robot series: Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion and Tomica Heroes Jobraver. Shinkalion robots transform from trains, and this is the newest collaboration featuring the series, currently available in McDonald’s Japan.
Mecha Anime Shinkalion and Jobraver Roll Into the Latest Official McDonald’s Release
McDonald’s Japan is offering Happy Meal toys featuring two popular robot brands: Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion and Tomica Heroes Jobraver. Each Happy Meal comes with stickers and activity books – like mazes and puzzles – themed around one of the series. The toys include characters from both Jobraver, such as the Jobroid drones and police car robots, and the main train robots from Shinkalion.
With characters and ideas that overlap, these stickers let fans of all ages create exciting combinations featuring the main robots. The stickers showcase characters from Jobraver in both robot and vehicle forms, while the Shinkalion stickers only depict the robots in their robot forms, not as trains.
The Happy Meal promotion will feature different toys for boys and girls. Boys will receive toys related to popular mecha franchises, while girls will get items based on Himitsu no AiPri, a dress-up rhythm game with idol characters. The promotion is expected to last about a month, and fans of either mecha or Himitsu no AiPri can enjoy these special toys with their Happy Meals starting February 13th in Japan, making it a fun treat for Valentine’s Day for robot fans.
Similar to Shinkalion and Jobraver, both of which are owned by Takara Tomy in Japan, Hasbro manages these robot brands outside of Japan. Tomica Heroes is a spin-off from the Tomica Hero live-action series, but it’s an anime about robots that transform into rescue vehicles. Shinkalion originally started over ten years ago as a spin-off of Takara Tomy’s Plarail train toys and has since partnered with other robot franchises.
