Audiences generally approve as well, with a 74% rating, but it seems many are enjoying the film through streaming services without necessarily posting reviews on sites like Rotten Tomatoes. As of February, the film is proving to be quite successful.

Murphy is then forced to choose between maintaining his peaceful disguise and allowing terrible things to happen, or using his unique abilities to defend the town.

Look, we all pretty much know where this movie is going, but honestly, how it gets there is just incredible. That’s why I think it’s really taken off – people are discovering this film and it’s becoming a huge hit, especially heading into 2026. It’s amazing to see a movie that was kind of under the radar suddenly become so popular!
