Eleven Returns In 2 Connected 2026 Stranger Things Projects

Okay, so as a huge fan of Stranger Things, I’m thrilled to share some news! We’re getting more Eleven in 2026, and it’s happening in two ways that are actually linked. First up, Netflix is releasing a spin-off series that will essentially carry the torch after Stranger Things wraps up. They just dropped the first trailer for it – it’s called Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 – and it’s hitting Netflix on April 23, 2026. I’m already marking my calendar!

This animated series isn’t a continuation of the main show, but rather takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things. It will feature brand new stories with Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Will, Lucas, Max, and all your favorite characters, just four months after the last season finished on Netflix. While fans said goodbye to El in December 2025, they’ll be reunited with her this April.

While Millie Bobby Brown and the original cast won’t be involved in the Stranger Things spinoff, the character Eleven will still appear alongside her friends. Plus, Eleven will also be featured in Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 Chapter Book #1, coming out on September 1, 2026. This book is designed to connect to the new animated series and both projects will showcase Eleven’s story in 2026.

Millie Bobby Brown is set to reprise her role as Eleven in two upcoming projects slated for 2026. However, many fans are still curious if she’ll ever be able to play the character again after the fifth season of Stranger Things. Considering the Duffer Brothers have stated they don’t plan to create any follow-up series, a return to the role doesn’t seem probable anytime soon.

With the rise of streaming services, many popular shows have come back with new seasons, continuations, or fresh starts. Because of this, it’s unlikely anyone would oppose a future series based on Stranger Things, especially since Netflix would probably be very interested in making one in the next decade or so. If a sequel series were created, it could finally provide a definitive answer to Eleven’s role within the Stranger Things story.
