Predator: Badlands Hulu Streaming Date Revealed

A highly-rated sci-fi film from 2025 is coming to streaming soon! Disney announced today that it will be available on Hulu starting February 12th.

I was so hyped when Predator: Badlands came out in 2025, and it totally delivered! It made a whopping $184 million around the world, which is amazing considering it only cost $105 million to make. Everyone was talking about it after it came out!

Predator: Badlands took the Predator franchise in a new direction by making a member of the Predator species the main character. The film follows the success of Prey, which was also directed by Dan Trachtenberg and released directly on Hulu. Both films were released on Hulu, with Prey debuting earlier in 2025 before Badlands.

Despite being connected to the wider Predator universe and expanding on ideas from Predator: Killer of Killers, Predator: Badlands works perfectly as a standalone story. It doesn’t directly follow or continue the plots of Killer of Killers or Prey. You can enjoy it on its own, or watch it alongside those other films as a connected trilogy on Hulu. Either way, it’s worth checking out.

The new Predator film has received a “Certified Fresh” rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. Though not as highly rated as Predator: Killer of Killers (95%) or Prey (94%), it performs better than previous installments in the series, including the original Predator and Predators.

Predator: Badlands Comes to Hulu on February 12

In Predator: Badlands, we meet Dek, a young Predator striving to earn his family’s respect by taking on an impossible hunt. He teams up with Thia, a damaged android from the Weyland-Yutani corporation, to achieve his goal.

With the success of Predator: Badlands and the previous two films, we can expect to see more Predator movies in the future. Now that all the recent films are available on Hulu, it’s easy for fans to get caught up with the franchise. Director Trachtenberg has explained that both Badlands and the animated film Predator: Killer of Killers lay the groundwork for upcoming installments.

Trachtenberg explained that there are endless possibilities for expanding the story, whether through animation or live-action. They can introduce new characters, explore different time periods, and visit locations we haven’t seen before. What excites him most is the chance to take the franchise in completely new directions, venturing into uncharted territory for science fiction.

A future Predator film could potentially feature Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his role. Producer Ben Rosenblatt mentioned at the Predator: Badlands premiere that bringing Arnold back is something they’ve considered, as both he and the Predator franchise have become iconic through their association.
