Recent reports suggest Marvel Studios is planning another team-up movie for Phase 7 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the upcoming Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars, are already confirmed, details about future team-up projects beyond those remain unknown.
Following the events of Secret Wars, Marvel is planning several team-up movies, including a reboot of the X-Men film series. This new X-Men movie, directed by Jake Schreier (who also directed Thunderbolts), will bring together multiple Marvel heroes. It’s possible other team-up films will also be announced as part of Marvel’s Phase 7 plans.
According to a recent post by industry insider Daniel Richtman on X (formerly Twitter), the upcoming Deadpool 4 will feature a team of heroes.
“Next ‘Deadpool’ will be a team-up movie.”

Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced a fourth Deadpool movie yet. However, this wouldn’t be the first time the character has teamed up with other heroes from the comics in a film.
In 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool teamed up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Reynolds also brought together the X-Force team in Deadpool 2.
Following the release of this report, online speculation (according to Puck) suggested that Ryan Reynolds is focused on making Deadpool 4. There are also reports that he’ll appear as the character in some capacity in the next Avengers: Doomsday movie.
Other Phase 7 projects rumored for release include Black Panther 3, Shang-Chi 2, and Midnight Sons.
What Could Deadpool’s New Team-Up Movie Be About?

Deadpool is generally a solo act. Unlike heroes like Wolverine and Captain America, who are famous for working with teams, Deadpool’s stories usually focus on his individual adventures. He tends to operate alone.
However, he isn’t unfamiliar with collaboration. There’s already a basis for a potential Deadpool 4 team-up movie to create a compelling superhero story.
Look, the X-Force has a history with Deadpool in the comics, and it’s a storyline fans are eager to see. But honestly, we already got a taste of that team dynamic in the first Deadpool movie, so revisiting it feels a little redundant right now.
The recent trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine briefly showed the Deadpool Corps, and it looks like that might be a key part of the next movie. This team is made up of different versions of Deadpool from across the multiverse. Since the Deadpool we know in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already familiar with traveling between realities, it seems likely his next adventure will involve the Deadpool Corps.
Another possibility is focusing on Deadpool Inc., a mercenary group created by Wade Wilson in the comics. He formed it after Hydra gained control of the United States, forcing him to cut ties with his former life and loved ones.
After that, he operates in the now-chaotic United States, stealing weapons and taking on other illegal mercenary jobs. This activity eventually catches the attention of Peter Parker.
Although a story involving Hydra doesn’t seem likely for a Deadpool movie, since that organization has been defeated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a more plausible and exciting idea would be Deadpool forming his own team of mercenaries and then facing off against Spider-Man – Peter Parker. This could make for a really entertaining action film.
