Paul Dano is known for his memorable roles in films like Little Miss Sunshine, Love & Mercy, The Batman, and The Fabelmans. Many consider his performance as Eli Sunday in There Will Be Blood, where he acted opposite Daniel Day-Lewis, to be his best work. However, director Quentin Tarantino recently criticized Dano’s performance in that film, and Dano has now publicly addressed Tarantino’s comments.
At the Sundance Film Festival, Paul Dano was about to respond to a question from Variety about comments made by Quentin Tarantino when his Little Miss Sunshine co-star, Toni Collette, unexpectedly spoke up. She strongly dismissed Tarantino’s remarks, saying he must have been under the influence, and found his comments bizarre. Dano then shifted the conversation to the positive messages he’d been receiving on social media.
