I feel like I’ve been waiting ages for the movie adaptation of Wuthering Heights starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. It’s probably only been a few months, and I just realized the plot isn’t what I expected. Now that the movie is getting closer to its 2026 release, we’re finally starting to see some official photos. And I’m happy to share that Margot Robbie is fully embracing method dressing again, getting into character through her costumes!
There’s been a lot of discussion about the costumes in Wuthering Heights. We recently spoke with the costume designer, who revealed that around 45 to 50 different outfits were made for Margot Robbie’s character, Cathy. Margot Robbie has also shared that Cathy’s wardrobe is limited to just three colors: black, white, and red, and it seems she’s sticking to that color scheme even while promoting the film.
Margot Robbie’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal – known for helping create the popular ‘Barbiecore’ style – shared a photo of her wearing outfits from Victoria Beckham’s collection for her new movie. Victoria Beckham herself also reposted the image, confirming her support. Here’s a peek:

Mukamal also highlighted the passage from Emily Bronte’s work that appears to have influenced the designs, noting that
She thrashed around, her confusion and feverish state escalating into something like madness. She ripped the pillow apart with her teeth, and then, strangely, seemed to find a childish amusement in pulling out the feathers and arranging them on the bedsheet, sorting them by type.
This moment comes from the middle of Wuthering Heights, when Catherine Linton has been shut away for days, lost in memories of her childhood with Heathcliff on the moors. She dramatically tells her maid, Nelly, that she might die, tearing apart her pillows and even commenting on the birds the feathers came from. It’s a chaotic scene, but I admire that Margot Robbie and her stylist drew inspiration from it for her outfits – it’s a surprisingly clever connection.
These outfits are from Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, and it’s a fitting coincidence considering the feather theme. Beckham herself shared the looks online, confirming details and linking them to the song “Chains of Love” by Charli XCX, which is prominently used in the trailer for the new film Wuthering Heights.
Margot Robbie continued her streak of wearing black, this time on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Her stylist shared that the outfit was designed by Alexander McQueen.

Margot Robbie has often worn black and white, and it looks like that classic combination will continue to be a go-to for her. With red also part of her color scheme, I’m excited to see if she’ll eventually choose that bolder shade for a red carpet appearance, perhaps at the Wuthering Heights premiere. We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m predicting some truly memorable fashion looks from her in the future.
