Star Wars Unveils First-Ever Live-Action Zeb Movie Merch (Photos)

Star Wars has just unveiled its first line of toys and collectibles inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will arrive in stores on May 22, 2026. A big surprise for fans is the inclusion of Zeb Orrelios, a beloved character from Star Wars: Rebels. This marks the first time Zeb will be featured in merchandise made for the movie era, and Lucasfilm is introducing him in a particularly unexpected way.

The news was announced at the London Toy Fair with a new collection of Mr. Potato Head sets inspired by characters from the new Star Wars movie. While it was expected to see sets featuring Din Djarin and Grogu, the inclusion of Zeb suggests he’ll play a significant role in the film’s story.

People first saw the new toy line at the London Toy Fair through a post on Instagram. It features five different Mr. Potato Head sets inspired by characters from The Mandalorian and Grogu. Each set comes with pieces you can swap around to turn the classic toy into fun versions of the characters. Here’s what’s included in the lineup:

  • Zeb Orrelios
  • Din Djarin
  • Grogu
  • Rotta the Hutt
  • A Stormtrooper

New Star Wars toys are released often, but this latest collection stands out because it so closely reflects the characters from the show, including the addition of Zeb alongside popular figures like Din Djarin and Grogu.

Why Zeb Orrelios’ First Movie Merch Is a Big Deal

Zeb Orrelios first appeared in Star Wars: Rebels as a key member of the crew aboard the ship, the Ghost. Voiced by Steve Blum, Zeb quickly won over fans with his sarcastic wit, sad past, and character development throughout the show’s four seasons.

You know, it’s always surprised me how little we saw of Zeb Orrelios outside of Rebels. Despite being a fan favorite, he was practically missing from most Star Wars stuff – no figures, barely a mention. But then, seeing him show up live-action in Season 3 of The Mandalorian was awesome! It instantly got everyone wondering if he’ll have a bigger part to play in what Disney’s planning for the future of Star Wars.

This new Mr. Potato Head set is the first time the character Zeb has appeared in products related to the live-action The Mandalorian and Grogu, indicating he’ll have a significant role and won’t just be a quick, unnoticed appearance.

Other Din Djarin & Grogu Toy Sets Revealed

As expected, Din Djarin and Grogu are also featured in the collection. Din Djarin is represented by a Mr. Potato Head dressed in a silver suit that looks like his Beskar armor, and Grogu has extra-large ears and wears his familiar beige outfit.

Rotta the Hutt, the son of Jabba the Hutt, is a surprising addition to the cast, perhaps even more so than Zeb. Having appeared as a character in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, an adult Rotta will return in The Mandalorian and Grogu, voiced by Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Allen White. This suggests Lucasfilm is introducing or re-introducing him to audiences before a potential film appearance.

Stormtroopers remain a consistently popular choice for villains. Though they appear basic, merchandise featuring them could showcase new armor variations, potentially previewed in the movies.

While the new toy release gives us a peek at the next Star Wars movie – the first major one since 2019 – it also suggests we should prepare for surprises. We’ll probably see more merchandise, like toys and collectibles, revealed soon, and if these Mr. Potato Head sets are anything to go by, it’s going to be delightfully playful and unique.
