Usually I’m On Team Faithful, But Traitors Season 4 Has Me Pulling For The Dark Side For A One Big Reason

SPOILERS are ahead for The Traitors U.S. Season 4, Episode 6 “Planning A Coup”.

I’m completely hooked on The Traitors! Every Thursday night, I’m glued to the TV watching this exciting competition where players try to figure out who’s lying. Usually, I root for the honest players, but this season I’m actually on the side of the traitors – and I’m loving it!

Forget Team Faithful, Because I’m All In On Rob Rausch As A Traitor

After watching for six episodes, I’m fully rooting for Rob Rausch to win as the traitor – though I’d be happy if another traitor won alongside him. I’m not a big reality TV follower and didn’t know most of the contestants going in – I only knew about five of them! But Rob has really impressed me with both how he plays the game and his personality.

Episode 6 really stood out to me – it made me want to create Team Rob merchandise! I thought it was a genuinely kind gesture when he admitted how hard it was to vote out Ron Funches, especially because he empathizes with Ron and wants him to succeed, even though he’s supposed to be a competitor. While he didn’t follow the other traitors’ plan, I appreciate that he’s playing a strategic but honest game, rather than simply betraying everyone to win. Although he did vote against Lisa Rinna, it wasn’t really his fault since Colton made a strong case for her elimination.

Compared to that, I was really captivated by Cirie Fields’ gameplay in Season 1. While I admired it, I secretly hoped the other players would expose her dishonesty throughout the season. I especially appreciate Rob’s approach – proving you can win and stay true to your values. If Rob wins, I think the other religious players would genuinely celebrate his success. He might have to make some tough, even deceptive, moves to win, but so far, it seems like he’d rather lose than play a really cutthroat game. I could be wrong, of course, but that’s just my opinion right now.

Why Else The Faithfuls Aren’t Getting Me Invested

Another reason I’m not as invested in the ‘faithfuls’ this year is that they seem less united and thoughtful. In the past, there was a strong sense of teamwork between different groups of faithfuls, but now it feels like everyone is just looking out for themselves. While a few have tried to form alliances and help each other – it’s a shame the other players messed that up! – many are quick to target others without much proof. I think Tiffany’s strategy is a good example of this, and it unfortunately led to her elimination.

I initially agreed with Michael Rapaport being eliminated, but it’s a bad sign when the loyal players would rather target each other instead of focusing on the game. They’ve only successfully removed one traitor so far, and I think eliminating Donna Kelce was more luck than skill. Although the loyal players seem distracted by outside opinions, I really respect Rob’s strategy and I’m hoping he wins it all.
