The story centers around a paramedic who’s completely exhausted from his job and planning to quit. Before he can leave, though, he has to spend one final 24-hour shift training his replacement.

The story begins with Randy (Wilson), a paramedic who’s exhausted and cynical. He’s partnered with Mike (Howrey) and often has students assigned to him, expecting them to learn fast. His newest student, Jessica (Carrero), needs to pick things up quickly because Randy isn’t very patient with trainees. Through his tough approach, the story highlights the frustrating amount of paperwork that comes with emergency medical care.

Randy was trying to leave his job, but realized the process would take too long, so he kept working. Everything changed when he finally got a new job and had to complete one last shift.
