Sophie Turner’s New 6-Part Crime Thriller Series Become Instant Worldwide Streaming Sensation

I’ve been totally hooked by Steal, Sophie Turner’s new series! It just dropped on Prime Video and is already a huge hit all over the world. It’s a six-part crime thriller set in a fancy office building in London, and it follows Zara, played by Turner, and her coworker Luke. What starts as a normal workday quickly spirals into this crazy, high-stakes heist situation – it’s a real rollercoaster!

Although some viewers have had differing opinions about the story and speed of Steal, critics have consistently praised the acting of Turner, who plays Zara. The show launched with an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and currently holds a solid 70% score, based on 20 reviews, as it quickly becomes one of the most-watched series online.

As of today, the series Steal is performing well on Prime Video, ranking fourth globally and in the United States, and second in the United Kingdom. Its success in the UK isn’t a surprise, given its primarily British cast and the fact that it’s similar in style to popular British crime dramas like The Night Manager and Code of Silence.

Now that Steal has just launched, it could climb even higher on Prime Video’s Top 10 list, especially with people having the weekend to start watching or finish the whole series.

Sotiris Nikitas, the creator and writer of Steal, recently explained to RadioTimes.com why he set the show’s heist at a London investment firm. He revealed he used to work in the same industry and noticed how much money flows through computers at these financial companies, being sent all over the globe.

The author explained that the story started with a simple thought: offices often hold a lot of money, but have surprisingly little security. It was like picturing their own workplace being robbed, and they immediately knew it would make a great thriller.

Though Sophie Turner is famous for her role in Game of Thrones, she’s appeared in crime dramas before. Last year, she starred as Joan, a skilled jewel thief, in the period drama Joan, which tells the story of a woman trying to build a life for herself and her daughter but gets involved in a dangerous situation.

Sophie Turner’s next role is as Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider series coming to Prime Video. Fans recently got a first glimpse of Turner as the iconic adventurer, complete with Croft’s signature sunglasses and tank top. Before that, audiences can catch Turner giving a fantastic performance in the film Steal.
