Spider-Man: Brand New Day Will Feature [Spoiler] Dying — Report

Spider-Man fans thought Aunt May’s death in No Way Home was the most shocking loss the movies could deliver, but they might be surprised again.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day brings together many familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man for his seventh film, and Mark Ruffalo will appear as the Hulk for the eleventh time. The movie also stars Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Michael Mando as the Scorpion, Zendaya as MJ, and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.

After seeing how willing Marvel and Sony were to make big sacrifices in No Way Home, I figured anyone could be in danger in this new story arc, Brand New Day. But honestly, I never expected they’d even consider killing off the main hero himself! It’s a total shock.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature a major MCU death

According to Alex Perez, a reliable source at the Cosmic Circus, Peter Parker, the Spider-Man played by Holland, is expected to die in the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This speculation arose when a fan asked if Disney could kill off Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in a future Avengers movie, considering Sony owns the rights to the character.

Perez first joked that Tom Holland’s character, Peter Parker, had died twice in the Marvel movies. He quickly corrected himself, saying it had only happened once. Peter Parker was famously turned to dust by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but he was brought back to life five years later in Avengers: Endgame.

Fans have been speculating that Peter Parker’s potential death storyline from the comics, known as Brand New Day, could connect to the arrival of the symbiote in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ movie, many predict that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will wear the black suit, just like his comic book version did during the famous ‘Secret Wars’ event in the 1980s.

At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a small part of Venom remained on Earth. After Doctor Strange sent Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom to the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this piece of the symbiote could potentially be used to bring back Tom Holland’s Peter Parker if he dies during the ‘Brand New Day’ storyline, possibly in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ movie.

Fans should remember that rumors aren’t always true, as sources can be mistaken. We’ll find out what really happens when Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out in theaters on July 31, 2026.
