2025 Officially Marked The Start Of An Era For Spider-Man

Spider-Man is returning in a major way in 2026 with both a new live-action film and several animated series. These projects will launch a fresh take on the character. In theaters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will introduce “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” starring Tom Holland, as part of this exciting new era.

Marvel isn’t just focusing on live-action; they also have two animated Spider-Man series in the works. One is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney+, which is returning for a second season. This show features a Peter Parker very similar to the one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but from a different reality. The other animated Spider-Man series has recently been revamped with a new take on the hero.

2025 Saw Spider-Man Join A New Version Of The Avengers

Spidey and his Amazing Friends has aired for four seasons and has already been renewed for two more – seasons six and seven! The show’s popularity with young viewers led to a spin-off called Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, and a special event bringing characters from both series together. This marked the beginning of a fresh take on the Spider-Man universe.

The new project, called Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!, came out on October 16, 2025. It features Spider-Man joining an animated team of Avengers that includes Iron Man, Black Panther (T’Challa), the Hulk, Captain America (Sam Wilson), and Ms. Marvel. In the special, Spider-Man wears his traditional red and blue suit.

The special, Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!, brought together two popular Marvel heroes to battle their biggest enemies. Although the Iron Man and Spider-Man animated series are made for kids, they include action-packed fight scenes that showcase the heroes’ amazing abilities. In this special, the new Avengers team faces off against Ultron and the Green Goblin.

2026 Will Continue Spider-Man’s Adventures With The Avengers

Following the successful launch of the animated Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up! series, Disney Junior’s Peter Parker will be joining forces with the Avengers again later this year. A new Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up! special is planned for the fall, and this time it will have a Halloween theme.

According to a recent report from The Wrap, Marvel Studios regularly collaborates with the creators of Spidey and His Amazing Friends to ensure the animated series doesn’t clash with the storylines and character development of Peter Parker in the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe. This same approach likely applies to the new Avengers special, making the Spider-Man crossover a particularly interesting and distinct viewing experience.
