In simple terms, the Marvel Cinematic Universe operates like a big production line, consistently churning out new movies in theaters and providing additional content through Disney+ subscriptions. This constant flow of material has given rise to numerous fan discussions and speculations regarding future Marvel films. One such ongoing debate revolves around whether or not Miles Morales will make his live-action debut in the MCU, and recently, Kevin Feige has shared some insights on this topic.
Fans who have followed the Marvel films sequentially have witnessed Tom Holland’s thriving portrayal of Peter Parker, along with the Academy Award-winning Spider-Verse animated movies. During a press conference (as reported by THR), Feige candidly discussed the possibility of Miles Morales appearing in live-action, stating:
“There is definitely a chance we could see Miles Morales in live action at some point.
Sony’s outstanding, exceptional, amazing Spider-Verse animated series is ongoing, so it’s advised that we hold off on anything related to it until its run concludes.
It was undeniably truthful. However, while Feige’s straightforwardness is admired, this news is bound to disappoint comic book enthusiasts eager for Peter Parker and Miles Morales to appear together on screen. Instead, it seems that the only kind of collaborations we can expect are among the different Spider-Man actors.

The MCU’s streaming platform is Disney+, and they offer an ad-supported plan starting at just $9.99 per month. If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can opt for the $15.99 monthly plan or save 16% by pre-paying $159.99 annually. Check out this deal now!
It’s highly unlikely that Miles Morales will team up with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man on the big screen any time soon, despite his growing popularity across comics, movies, and video games such as PlayStation’s “Spider-Man”. Many fans have been eagerly anticipating this collaboration.
Admittedly, Feige’s statement strikes a chord of disappointment, but it carries a strong argument. After all, Sony’s live-action Spider-Man universe hasn’t exactly been soaring high for quite some time now. However, the animated realm created by Phil Lord and Chris Miller has been an unmitigated triumph. Considering this success, it seems logical that they might be reluctant to part with their star character and integrate it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Spider-Man Universe series will carry on with a third film, called “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.” Although it won’t be released in cinemas until 2027, fans are eager after the surprising ending of “Across the Spider-Verse” from 2023. In the climax of that movie, Miles Morales finds himself in another reality where his father perished and his Uncle Aaron lived. There, he encounters a version of himself who is The Prowler rather than Spider-Man.
The information about Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scarce, but it seems unlikely that Miles Morales will make an appearance in the movie. Here’s hoping we eventually get a live-action version of the character, though we might need to wait for the animated Spider-Verse series to conclude first.
The first installment of “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is set to grace the big screen on June 25th, 2027, and “Brand New Day” follows suit on July 31, 2026. Interestingly, neither movie appears in the 2025 release list, so fans will need to exercise some patience.
