According to Turner, this new take on Lara Croft focuses on her self-assurance and skills. She describes the character as openly confident and not someone who downplays her abilities. This aligns with the vision of the series’ creator and writer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for her work on Fleabag. Though specific plot points haven’t been revealed, the show seems to prioritize developing Lara Croft as a complex individual, rather than simply focusing on action and visuals.

I’m a big Tomb Raider fan, and it looks like we’ll have to be patient a little longer! The show is currently planned to come out on Prime Video sometime in 2027 or 2028, but they haven’t given us a firm date just yet.
